Shahid Kapoor on ‘connection’ factors

Looks like Shahid Kapoor doesn’t love being entitled as ‘multiplex star’ as he admits connecting with every audience would let him succeed in his career.

The young lad who appeared in ad commercials as a child artist made a commendable debut with ‘Ishq Vishq’. However then, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Vivah’ and now ‘Kaminey’ have transcended him to greater heights. Appositely, there were certain stories that termed him as ‘multiplex star’ and Shahid wants to disapprove of it.

Says Shahid, “Likeably, it’s good to hear a wonderful title. But if it is a statement of reality, I would like to perform on any roles that let audiences of every centre connecting themselves with my onscreen characters…”

Shahid Kapoor wholeheartedly thanks multiplexes that rendered a big support for the success story of ‘Kaminey’ by hosting 25 shows a day. Thereby letting the filmy buffs to watch the film by first weekend and make the film a real hit.
